UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a commendable move towards menstrual health awareness and eco-consciousness, the Outreach Department of Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), Jamshedpur, under its CSR initiative through the Manipal Foundation, conducted a two-day outreach program on April 8 and 9.
The program included the distribution of biodegradable sanitary napkins to five government schools in East Singhbhum district.
Focused on empowering adolescent girls, the initiative provided access to safe, sustainable menstrual hygiene products, alongside interactive training sessions led by experts from the Manipal Foundation.
These sessions offered practical demonstrations on proper usage and environmentally responsible disposal methods, while also addressing broader aspects of menstrual health and hygiene.
The initiative aims to nurture awareness, dignity, and environmental responsibility among young girls, contributing to improved adolescent health and aligning with global sustainable development goals.
This effort underscores MTMC’s enduring commitment to community welfare, health education, and the promotion of sustainable healthcare practices.
