UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Mega Summer Camp 2026, organised under the banner of the Jamshedpur Impact Cluster, Tata Steel Foundation (TSF), was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at the Dhatkidih Community Centre Ground on Tuesday morning.
The event, held from 6 am to 8.30 am, witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, TSF officials, participants, and local community members.
Debdoot Mohanty, Chief Operating Officer, TSF, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Guests of Honour included Hussain Imam Mallick, International Handball Coach and Manager – Sports, Health & Wellness, and Om Prakash Sharma, UCM, TWU.
Senior TSF officials present included Abhishek Kashyap, Birdhan Marandi, Nabin Chandra Das, and Ashish Prasad.
This year’s camp has brought together more than 2,800 participants, including children, youth, women, and senior citizens from 14 community centres across the city.
A wide range of sports and wellness activities are being conducted, including football, basketball, karate, boxing, yoga, volleyball, athletics, archery, Zumba, women’s fitness, MMA, and senior citizen fitness programmes.
Adding vibrancy to the inauguration were energetic Zumba performances by participants from Baridih, Bhalubasa, and Sonari Community Centres, setting an enthusiastic tone for the weeks ahead.
The camp will continue across all participating centres until June 5, promoting fitness, community engagement, and active lifestyles among residents.
