
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Tata Steel has announced a series of organizational changes within its Human Resource Management division, effective from November 1, 2025. The restructuring aims to enhance functional efficiency and streamline HR operations across business units.
As part of this change, Francis Hembrom, Senior Area Manager HRBP IM TSJ (Sinter & Pellet Plant), HRBP Steel TSJ, has been transferred as Senior Area Manager HRBP E&P – TGS, HRBP E&P. He will functionally report to the Chief HRBP E&P and continue to operate from Jamshedpur.
Francis holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Calcutta University (1998) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XISS Ranchi (2001). He joined Tata Steel the same year as Senior Officer, Personnel & IR, and has since held various HR and IR leadership positions across the Steel, Raw Materials, and Manufacturing divisions. Over his career, he has contributed to multiple business units including Tubes, CRM, LD#1, and PS Utilities.
In another development, Liza Banerjee, Area Manager HRBP Corporate Functions, has been transferred as Area Manager HRBP IM TSJ (Sinter & Pellet Plant), HRBP Steel TSJ. She will report functionally to the Head HRBP Operations & Manufacturing LP and will continue to operate from Jamshedpur.
Liza holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical & Electronics from Siksha O’ Anusandhan University (2012) and an MBA in Human Resource Management from XIM Bhubaneswar (2016). She joined Tata Steel in 2016 as a Management Trainee Commercial HRM and has since taken up several key HR roles in Corporate Functions, Bearings, and Medical Services. Over the years, she has contributed significantly to the company’s HR transformation efforts in the Corporate Functions domain.
Additionally, Shweta Singh, who was on sabbatical leave, will resume her role as Area Manager HRBP Corporate Function, HRBP Corporate Functions, upon her return. She will functionally report to the Head HRBP Corporate Functions (One IT, HR & MD’s Office) and operate from Jamshedpur.
Shweta holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Telecommunication from NIT Raipur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource from the School of Inspired Leadership (2019). She joined Tata Steel in 2019 as Management Trainee Commercial HRM and has since served in key HR roles in both Steel TSJ and Corporate Functions. Before joining Tata Steel, she worked with Mahindra Satyam.
