
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Loyola School, Junior Section celebrated its 66th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, at the Fasy Auditorium today, marking a vibrant end to the 2024-25 academic year.
The event honoured 280 students for academic excellence and their embodiment of the school’s mission to be “men and women for others.”
The ceremony opened with an academic procession led by flag bearer Satyaki Chatterjee, accompanied by the school management and award recipients.

Parents, alumni, and faculty joined the celebration, which was further enlivened by student performances showcasing young talents.
Former SSP of Jamshedpur, Kishor Kaushal, attended as the guest of honour. A major highlight of the event was the release of the first edition of Junior Loyolean, a chronicle of the year’s events and student creativity through articles and photographs.

Parvinder Dhanjal was felicitated for 25 years of dedicated teaching service in the Junior Section.
In a new initiative, students from the Foundational Stage received unique recognitions in categories such as Smiling Star, Buddy With a Big Heart, Tiny Turbo, Little Inigo, Magic Fingers, and Smart Speaker—celebrating their individuality and spirit.
Special awards included the Nibhanani Bhattacharya Award for the best girl student of Std V, presented to Amaira Sawa.
The Junior Loyola Award/Chitrajeet Ghosh Memorial Trophy was awarded to Aaradhya Das and Aadi Rushabh Sheth, while the Runners Up Award/S P Dubey Memorial Trophy went to Faizan Ashraf.
Loyola Principal, Rev. Fr. Vinod Fernandes S.J., PhD, addressed the gathering, underlining Jesuit values of compassion, empathy, and striving for ‘magis’—the pursuit of excellence.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Vineeta F. Ekka, Vice Principal of the Junior Section, acknowledging everyone’s efforts in making the occasion a grand success.
