UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a significant community service initiative aimed at providing relief during the scorching summer months, the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City on Thursday inaugurated a cold drinking water station at the Jamshedpur Civil Court premises.
The facility has been installed for the benefit of hundreds of litigants, advocates, court staff, police personnel and visitors who frequent the court complex every day.
The initiative is expected to provide much-needed access to safe and chilled drinking water, particularly during periods of intense heat.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Principal District Judge and the Chief Judicial Magistrate, both of whom appreciated the Rotary Club’s thoughtful contribution towards public welfare.
The senior judicial officers lauded the club’s commitment to serving the community and acknowledged that the facility would greatly benefit people visiting the court premises on a daily basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary Club members highlighted that access to clean drinking water remains a basic necessity and that the project was undertaken with the objective of improving public convenience and promoting health and well-being.
Former Club President (IPP) Rtn Shivani Goel and President-Elect Rtn Umang Jhunjhunwala were present during the inauguration.
Club members expressed special gratitude to Rtn Shivani Goel for her efforts in coordinating with court officials and facilitating the smooth execution of the project.
The club also acknowledged the generous support of Rtn Julie and Tapas Sahu, along with Rtn Vidisha and Vikas Mittal, whose sponsorship made the installation of the drinking water station possible.
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City has been actively involved in a range of social service projects across the city, focusing on health, education, sanitation and community welfare.
The newly inaugurated water station adds another meaningful chapter to the club’s ongoing efforts to serve society and improve the quality of life for citizens.
