UditVani, Jamshedpur: The mysterious death of a young man, Reyan Alam, following an alleged medical injection has triggered widespread concern and raised serious questions about healthcare practices in the steel city.
The situation escalated after former Health Minister Banna Gupta visited the postmortem facility and called for strict monitoring of the procedure.
Gupta instructed the Civil Surgeon to ensure that the autopsy is conducted under a medical board’s supervision and fully documented through videography, aiming to eliminate any doubts and ensure transparency.
The victim’s family has levelled grave allegations against Dr. Ashraf Badar, claiming that Reyan’s condition deteriorated immediately after he was administered an injection during treatment, ultimately leading to his death.
They have termed it a clear case of medical negligence and are demanding stringent action against the doctor and the clinic involved.
Tensions ran high outside the postmortem house, where a large crowd of locals gathered in support of the grieving family.
Voices grew louder for a fair and impartial investigation, with the family asserting they will not back down until justice is delivered.
Responding to the situation, Gupta assured that the probe would be conducted with complete transparency and that anyone found guilty would face strict consequences.
Authorities have initiated an inquiry, and attention now turns to the postmortem report, which is expected to shed crucial light on the circumstances surrounding the death.
