UditVani, Jamshedpur : An awareness programme was organised at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Sona Devi University, Ghatsila today (November 28) to mark the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The event aimed to promote a drug-free university campus and educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
During the programme, students took a collective pledge: “I will not indulge in drugs, nor will I allow anyone else to do so.” They vowed to lead a healthy, addiction-free life with commitment and responsibility.

Speakers highlighted in detail how substance abuse hampers individual growth, obstructs community development, and poses a major challenge to building a healthy, safe and progressive nation. Students participated enthusiastically and expressed their resolve to contribute actively to eliminating drug abuse from society.
The programme was successfully conducted by NSS Programme Officer P Mali, who encouraged the youth to not only stay away from addiction but also motivate others to do the same.
