UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a major breakthrough, Parsudih police have foiled a second attempt to kill Javed Khan and arrested three accused involved in the November 14 firing incident linked to an alleged murder conspiracy hatched by his wife, Heena.
The case came to light after Javed lodged an FIR, stating that a domestic dispute between him and his wife escalated when Heena allegedly contacted her boyfriend, gangster Ledha, and his associates to eliminate him. Acting on the plan, accused Mohammad Shahbaz alias Bhondu, Bittu alias Rahul Kumar, and others fired at Javed in Kitadih Gadiwan Patti but he narrowly escaped.
On November 20, a special team formed under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police received intelligence that the same group was regrouping at Murum Maidan, Khatmahal, to execute the murder plot again. Acting swiftly, police launched a raid with armed forces and arrested three accused—Mohammad Shahbaz alias Bhondu (19), Bittu (22), and Rahul Kumar (20). Several others managed to flee in the darkness.
Police recovered significant incriminating items:
From Shahbaz: a country-made pistol, a magazine, and two 7.65 mm live rounds
From Bittu: a black country-made revolver, magazine, and an Oppo mobile phone
From Rahul Kumar: a Narzo mobile phone
Investigations revealed that Shahbaz alias Bhondu has three criminal cases already registered against him in 2025. The arrested trio has been sent to jail under relevant sections, including the Arms Act. Meanwhile, raids are ongoing to nab the absconding accused.
Police said the timely intervention prevented a potential murder, and efforts are underway to dismantle the network involved in the conspiracy.
