
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur marked a proud moment on Wednesday with the grand inauguration of the IEEE International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science with Advanced Power Technologies – A Future Trend (ICE2CPT 2025), organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering.
The three-day conference, being held in hybrid mode, aims to foster global innovation, research, and collaboration across the domains of electrical, electronics, and computer sciences.

The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lamp-lighting ritual, symbolizing the spread of knowledge and enlightenment.
The event was graced by several eminent dignitaries. Prof. Sukumar Mishra, Director, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, attended as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Gautam Sutradhar, Director, NIT Jamshedpur, served as the Chief Patron.
Distinguished guests included Arun Mishra, CEO, Adhunik Power; Prof. Sanjeevi Kumar Padmanabhan, University of South-Eastern Norway; Dr. Puneet Kumar Mishra, 2025 VP (Education), IEEE AESS; and Prof. N. P. Padhy, Director, MNIT Jaipur.
Adding further prestige to the occasion, Dr. Satya Gupta, Chairperson, VLSI Society of India, attended as Honorary Chair, while Prof. R. V. Sharma, Deputy Director, NIT Jamshedpur, was present as Patron.
The IEEE ICE2CPT 2025 conference is being led by Dr. Veerpratap Meena, General Chair and Chair, IEEE Systems Council Systems Education TC, USA.
Under his leadership, the event has become a remarkable platform for global technical collaboration and innovation.
Conference organization is spearheaded by Prof. Prabha Chand and Dr. Kumari Namrata, both from NIT Jamshedpur, whose academic and organizational excellence have played a crucial role in shaping the event’s success.
The organizing secretaries, Dr. Suryaprakash, Dr. Swagatdeb Sahu, Dr. Jitendra Kumar, and Dr. Dinesh Kumar (all from NIT Jamshedpur), are contributing immensely to the coordination and technical management of the conference.
The conference serves as a dynamic platform for researchers, academicians, and industry experts to exchange knowledge and explore futuristic developments in power technologies and allied fields.
In their addresses, the distinguished guests emphasized the growing importance of interdisciplinary research in areas such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and Sustainable Energy Systems.
