UditVani, Jamshedpur : An atmosphere of panic has gripped the Ramdas Bhatta locality in Bistupur after eight-year-old Arish Gaddi went missing under mysterious circumstances on Thursday evening. Police suspect the possibility of abduction and have launched an intensive search operation.
Arish, the son of electrician Firdous Gaddi, was last seen playing near his house around 6 p.m. When he did not return home, his family began searching the area. A local worker later informed them that he had seen the boy walking with an unidentified man.
Subsequent checks of nearby CCTV cameras revealed footage of a man taking the child along around 8 p.m., strengthening suspicions of a kidnapping. Family members rushed to the Galudih Toll Plaza after receiving information that a child matching Arish’s description had been seen in a car passing through the area.
Arish is a student of Class III at Narbheram Hansraj Public School and has a younger sister.
Acting swiftly, Bistupur police have obtained the CCTV footage and begun efforts to identify the suspect and the vehicle. All district checkpoints have been alerted, and a coordinated manhunt is underway.
