Udit Vani, Jamshedpur : Rail operations across the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway will face major disruptions from July 14 to 20, owing to critical infrastructure development works.
Affected services include several local and intercity trains passing through Tatanagar, which will either be cancelled, short-terminated, or diverted.
Passengers have been advised by the railway authorities to check the latest status of their trains before planning their journeys.
According to an official notification issued on Saturday, the disruptions are necessitated by track maintenance, signal upgrading, and yard remodeling—aimed at long-term safety and efficiency improvements for passengers. Here’s a list of the major affected trains and operational changes:

Station-Origin Change

The South Eastern Railway has clarified that these temporary changes are essential for ensuring drainage improvements in view of the upcoming monsoon season, along with routine maintenance.
Residents and frequent travelers from Tatanagar and surrounding industrial zones may face inconvenience, especially workers, daily commuters, and traders who rely heavily on these services.
The disruptions could lead to increased road traffic as passengers may resort to buses or private vehicles.
While the disruptions are temporary, the railway development effort is a welcome move for future safety and convenience.
Authorities have commendably issued this advance notification to minimize passenger inconvenience. Passengers are strongly urged to verify train schedules before travel and plan accordingly to ensure a smooth and safe journey.
