
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In view of the heavy to very heavy rainfall forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for the next 24 hours, the East Singhbhum district administration has ordered the closure of all schools up to Class XI for July 10 ( Thursday ).
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Karn Satyarthi issued the directive on Wednesday, citing safety concerns for students and the general public due to the expected weather conditions.
The order applies to all government, private, and minority-run schools operating within the district.
The closure has been declared as a precautionary measure in public interest.
The administration has instructed all schools to ensure compliance with the directive.
Additionally, schools have been encouraged to conduct online classes to ensure that academic activities are not disrupted.
The district administration is closely monitoring the evolving weather situation and will issue further instructions if necessary.
Authorities have warned that non-compliance with the order will attract strict action under the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
