
Udit Vani Jamshedpur : Aiming to bring the benefits of central and state welfare schemes to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and Scheduled Tribe-dominated villages, the “Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan” was flagged off in East Singhbhum district on Saturday.
The campaign, scheduled from June 15 to 30, was inaugurated with a green flag ceremony for the awareness vehicle at the district collectorate.
Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs Brijnandan Prasad, Deputy Commissioner Karan Satyarthi, and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey jointly flagged off the awareness vehicle.
A signature campaign was also launched to promote public participation and support for the initiative.
The campaign will involve over 275 village-level camps to facilitate on-the-spot registration and benefit distribution under various welfare schemes like PMAY, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Kisan, Kisan Credit Card, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and others.
MP Mahato called the initiative a vital step toward connecting the most marginalized communities with the mainstream of development.
Joint secretary Prasad hailed it as a key effort aligned with the government’s tribal upliftment agenda.
DC Satyarthi urged residents to actively participate and avail themselves of the schemes, while ITDA Project Director Deepankar Choudhary emphasized the role of the awareness vehicle in ensuring last-mile delivery of benefits.
