Jamshedpur : The East Singhbhum district administration has issued an alert to the public regarding a fake Facebook ID created using the name of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ananya Mittal.
The administration confirmed that the account was set up by an unidentified individual and is being used to mislead the public, classifying the act as a form of cybercrime.
People have been advised to remain cautious and vigilant while engaging on social media.
If anyone receives a friend request or unusual message from a suspicious Facebook profile claiming to be Mittal, they are urged to immediately report and block the ID.
The district administration further requested that any such incidents be promptly reported to the Cyber Cell, Jamshedpur, or the District Public Relations Office.
People are also reminded not to share personal information without proper verification.
An investigation into the matter was currently underway.
