Jamshedpur: In a public hearing held at the Collectorate office chamber, Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal directly interacted with citizens and listened to their concerns.
More than 90 individuals from various blocks and panchayats of the district registered grievances related to personal, social, and administrative matters.
Issues raised during the hearing included arbitrary behavior by urban parking contractors, requests for school fee concessions, shop allotment disputes, land-related conflicts, drinking water crisis in Mango area, delays in issuing income certificates, mutation revisions, enrollment under reserved quotas, sand-related complaints, ration card errors, and pension approvals.
Taking all complaints seriously, the DC reviewed each application and instructed the concerned departments to take swift and transparent action. Several issues were resolved on the spot.
The deputy commissioner emphasized that the public hearing is a powerful platform to connect directly with the people and ensure timely resolution of their problems. He also directed officials to prioritize pending matters and expedite their disposal.
This initiative has strengthened public trust in the administration, with the public hearing being viewed as an effective channel for dialogue and redressal.
