Jamshedpur : A tragic road accident took place near Jemco Chowk late last night night, claiming the life of 20-year-old youth Sandeep Das, who was riding a bullet. Sandeep sustained severe head injuries after his bike reportedly collided with a stray bull on the road. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, which proved fatal.
Bystanders said the collision with the bull caused Sandeep to fall on the road, resulting in critical injuries.
His family members rushed him to MGM Hospital at around 11:15 pm, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
While eyewitnesses reported the involvement of a stray bull, the family suspects that Sandeep might have been hit by an unidentified vehicle.
A resident of Bir Birsaghar Basti in Manifit, Sandeep was the second of three brothers. He was returning home after dropping his elder brother, Chandan Das, at Tata Motors for his night shift duty.
Sandeep had completed his ITI and was undergoing training at a private company. He had not gone to work on Wednesday due to a closure.
Tragically, this is the second road accident fatality in the family, as Sandeep’s father, Ashok Das, had died in a similar incident eight years ago.
Following the incident, Telco police arrived at the spot, and a large crowd, including family members and local residents, gathered at the hospital.
