Udit Vani, Jamshedpur: Tata Motors Officers’ Wives Association and MANASI successfully organized their Annual Girl Child Scholarship Program, awarding 132 scholarships to girls from economically weaker families,
Manasi Club – Tata Motors Officers Wives Association organized its Annual Girl Scholarship Program at Telco Club on Saturday. The chief guest at the event was Ravindra Kulkarni, Head Tata Motors Plant, Jamshedpur.
The program was attended by senior officials of Tata Motors, doctors, teachers, students and NGOs. Members of the Management Committee of Manasi Club, Rashmi Kulkarni – President, Sarita Kumar – Secretary, Reena – Padam – Joint Secretary, Ranjana Narayan – Treasurer and Jyoti Battu – Joint Treasurer were present in the event.
Apart from engaging in activities that support health, hygiene, environment and livelihood, Manasi has been actively working in the field of girl child education for years. This year the club has provided financial assistance in the form of scholarship to 132 girl students from economically weaker families studying in 15 different schools of the city.
On 10 June 2023, the members of the Manasi club had also organized an eye check-up camp in the nearby Hurlung village. Manasi Club donated Desert Coolers, fans and washing machines to meet the needs of the residents at Antyodaya Bhawan on 21st June 2023. The Club provided sewing machines to 15 women from eight different villages keeping in view their potential to enhance their source of livelihood and make them self-reliant.
In keeping with the work being done by Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH) for the treatment of cancer patients, Manasi Club has donated a 12 channel EGG machine to the hospital. The club has been continuously making valuable contribution for the upliftment of various sections of the society.
