UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Central Committee of the Jamshedpur Ram Navami Akhara Samiti has announced that the Hindu New Year procession will be held on March 18, while the grand Ram Navami Shobha Yatra-cum-immersion ceremony will take place on March 28.
A crucial meeting of the committee was convened at Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur under the direction of Chief Patron Abhay Singh.
The meeting was led by Central President Arun Singh, with General Secretary Praveen Sethi conducting the proceedings.
All core group members of the committee were present and shared their views on preparations for the upcoming festivities.
Executive President Nitin Trivedi emphasized the need for greater participation and leadership from the youth of Jamshedpur in organizing and celebrating the Ram Navami Mahotsav.
Patron Panna Singh Janghel suggested that the committee should hold a separate meeting with all Sonari-based committees to ensure that immersion activities in Sonari conclude within a reasonable time and do not extend late into the night.
Representing Sonari, Ashok Jain urged the district administration to schedule coordination meetings well in advance and avoid unnecessary paperwork that could inconvenience organizing committees close to the festival dates.
Uttam Kumar Das of the Kadma Sankat Mochan Hanuman Akhara raised concerns over congestion near the Hanuman temple at Kadma (Uliyan ).
He pointed out that hundreds of bikes belonging to online delivery personnel from a nearby Reliance Smart Point outlet are often parked around the temple premises, causing encroachment on the road and increasing the risk of untoward incidents.
He called for immediate action to prevent any potential law-and-order issues.
After detailed deliberations, the committee unanimously resolved to organize the Hindu New Year procession on March 18, on the eve of the new year, and the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra along with immersion on March 28.
Central President Arun Singh stated that the strength of the organization is the result of collective efforts in uniting all Ram Navami Akhara committees of Jamshedpur under one umbrella.
He added that the central body will be further expanded in the coming days to make it an even stronger and more effective organization in the city.
Ajay Gupta, President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Jamshedpur Mahanagar, also extended his support to the committee.
