Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato today met the National Backward Classes Commission chairman Hansraj Gangaram Ahir in New Delhi.
The Jamshedpur MP demanded inclusion of Suvarnavanik caste in the central OBC list.
While handing over a memorandum, he said that the Jharkhand government has recommended inclusion of 36 castes including the Suvarna Vanik Samaj in the central list.
The MP said all of them should be included in the central list as early as possible so that the people of these castes can get all benefits.
The chairman assured the MP that he will take steps in this direction as early as possible.
The chairman told Mahato that he will visit Jharkhand in the coming days.
He also requested Bidyut Mahato to accompany him during his Jharkhand tour.
