UditVani Jamshedpur : Mallika Arjun and his wife Teresa, the two members of Jamshedpur Bulletin Riding Club – Road Melters – returned to steel city from Goa spreading the message of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” (Save Daughter, Educate Daughter) , a national campaign of the Government of India.
The campaign mainly targets the clusters in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar and Delhi.
Moderator of Road Melters Anand sharma and the rest of the riders welcomed both of them on their return yesterday.
From the time they left Jamshedpur till their return, both the husband and wife duo were in constant touch with their fellow Road Melt riders.
Both the husband and wife kept sending messages to the group about how far they had reached on a daily basis.
Both the husband and wife left from Jamshedpur on November 19 at around 5.30 in the morning.
From Jamshedpur, they reached Raipur via Odisha’s Sambalpur. From Raipur, they reached Maharashtra via Nanded. In the meantime, both of them used to stop for breakfast and lunch in Nanded.
They went to a Gurudwara at Nanded.
After ‘darshan’ and paying obeisance at the Gurudwara, they spread the message of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’.
Next day they reached Latur and Sangli in Maharashtra .On the second day they reached Goa.
Meanwhile, they met the riders and local people of Maharashtra and disseminated the message of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.’
In Goa they began their journey from Vagator Beach . After spending some time on the beach, they proceeded further.
The duo returned from Goa via Bengaluru. They also got done normal servicing of their vehicle.
They stayed in Bengaluru for two days, where they met local riders and riders from different places in the south.
Riders from the South had come to meet them. The ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ message was heard and appreciated very well by the local people .
Later they reached Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar via the coastal area of Bengaluru.
Notably, there is always a possibility of rain in the coastal areas, so both of them had to face heavy rains, both of them had to wait for about two to three hours in the rain.
Both of them got drenched in the rain a couple of times. In a hurry, both of them had to keep all the gadgets and mobile electronic accessories extra safe and reached Jamshedpur safely via Bhubaneswar yesterday ( November 30) at around 5 pm.
The couple looked upbeat and described the journey as a memorable one.
