
UditVani , Jamshedpur : Jharkhand experienced above-normal daytime temperatures while night temperatures remained relatively cool, according to the Realised Weather Report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi.
Chaibasa recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 32°C, nearly 7°C above normal, reflecting a noticeable rise in daytime heat.
Jamshedpur followed with a maximum of 30.5°C, while Ranchi registered 27.2°C, also above the seasonal average.
Despite the warmer days, cooler conditions prevailed at night. Khunti reported the lowest minimum temperature at 8.6°C, while Ranchi and Jamshedpur recorded minimum temperatures of 11°C and 11.9°C, respectively.
The IMD confirmed that no rainfall was recorded across Jharkhand during the past 24 hours.
There were no reports of fog or cold wave conditions, though reduced visibility of 1200 metres was observed at Jamshedpur.
Weather officials indicated that the contrast between rising daytime temperatures and cooler nights is likely to persist, with dry weather conditions expected to continue across the state in the coming days.
