Jamshedpur : The state is expected to witness a spell of unsettled weather conditions in the coming days, marked by thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain in some regions.
As per the latest forecast:
May 27 & 28: Isolated thunderstorms and lightning will likely persist across the state.
May 29: Thunderstorm activity will continue, and heavy rainfall is anticipated in the southwestern parts of the state.
May 30: Thunderstorms and lightning are expected again, with heavy rain likely to affect northeastern and nearby areas.
This weather pattern is being driven by a trough extending from a cyclonic circulation over Southwest Rajasthan to the northwest Bay of Bengal, crossing east Rajasthan, northern Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh, and north Odisha at a height of 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Adding to the developing conditions, a low-pressure system is expected to form over the west-central and adjoining northern Bay of Bengal around May 27, which could further intensify rainfall over the region.
People are advised to remain cautious, follow safety guidelines during thunderstorms, and stay tuned for updates from the meteorological department.
