UditVani, Jamshedpur : Police have arrested two additional suspects in the Shastrinagar Tauqeer alias Hora murder case, recovering a country-made pistol and magazine used in the firing. The accused have been identified as Saddab Khan alias Billi (27) of Old Purulia Road No. 8 and Shubham Kumar (25) of Shastrinagar, Kadma.
City SP Kumar Shivashish said a special team acted on a tip-off that the duo was seen in Bistupur’s BH Area. Both were swiftly apprehended, and during interrogation, they confessed to their role in the killing and shared key information.
Earlier, police had arrested Ayan alias Masood Iqbal within six hours of the incident. The main accused, Saddab Khan, has six previous cases registered against him.
According to police, the accused revealed that Hora had been threatening and intimidating them for a long time and had fired in the air at them on several occasions. On the day of the incident, all of them were consuming drugs when they decided to kill Hora and carried out the murder in an intoxicated state.
The two newly arrested accused were sent to judicial custody on Saturday. Police are continuing further investigation to uncover remaining links in the case.
