UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jharkhand is witnessing a steady slide into early winter as cold, dry north-westerly to northerly winds dominate the lower levels of the atmosphere.
With no significant synoptic system influencing the region, the clear skies and persistent winds have intensified night-time cooling across the state.
Dry weather continued over the past 24 hours, with a noticeable contrast between daytime warmth and sharp night-time chill.
Highest maximum temperature: 31.4°C at Chaibasa
Lowest minimum temperature: 10.1°C at Latehar
Meteorologists note that the absence of cloud cover is allowing heat to escape quickly after sunset, pushing minimum temperatures below normal in several districts.
Areas like Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, and Simdega are particularly feeling the early winter bite.
Daytime temperatures are expected to remain comfortable at 25–28°C, but evenings will turn cooler rapidly, with some regions dipping to 14–16°C by late night.
Residents are advised to take precautions during morning and evening hours as the cold winds persist.
With no major weather system on the horizon, Jharkhand will continue to experience crisp days and increasingly chilly nights in the coming days.
