
Jamshedpur : A 402-member team from Jharkhand will leave for New Delhi on May 16 and 17 to participate in a two-day workshop organized by the Election Commission of India at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) on May 19 and 20.
The participants will include Booth Level Officers (BLOs), volunteers, and representatives from the Booth Awareness Groups (BAG).
Review of Preparations
Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar held an online review meeting on Thursday to assess the preparations of the participants attending the workshop. He interacted with the district-level Deputy Electoral Officers and the participants, gathering details regarding travel, accommodation, meals, and coordination arrangements.
He also instructed participants to carry all necessary identification documents and remain in touch with the appointed liaison officers for coordination.
Highlights of the Workshop
The workshop will kick off on May 19 with a yoga session, followed by an interaction with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, role plays, training from national-level experts on election management, and experience-sharing by various stakeholders.
On May 20 , participants will visit prominent institutions in Delhi, with 9 buses arranged for the tour.
Sharing Experiences to Create a National Model
K. Ravi Kumar mentioned that during his visit to Jharkhand, the Chief Election Commissioner had praised the work of BLOs and volunteers.
Building on this, election stakeholders from Jharkhand will share their experiences in Delhi, which will be documented for use in future training programs.
Wide Participation in the Workshop
The workshop will see the participation of BLOs, volunteers, and BAG representatives from all districts of Jharkhand.
