
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jharkhand continued to witness dry weather on Saturday as no significant synoptic system prevailed over the state.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said north-westerly winds dominated the region, keeping skies largely clear and conditions stable.
The highest maximum temperature during the past 24 hours was recorded at Chaibasa at 32.8°C, while Gumla reported the lowest minimum temperature at 8.3°C, indicating a noticeable variation between day and night temperatures across districts.
According to observations taken at 8:30 am, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 26.6°C and a minimum of 11.0°C.
Jamshedpur registered 30.4°C and 14.2°C, respectively, while Daltonganj reported 30.8°C during the day and a low of 8.8°C at night.
Bokaro Thermal recorded a maximum of 30.5°C and Chaibasa (PTO) 32.4°C.
No rainfall was reported from any part of the state in the past 24 hours. Visibility dropped to 2,000 metres at Jamshedpur, the lowest recorded in the state.
Data from Automated Weather Stations also indicated dry conditions throughout Jharkhand.
Seraikela recorded a maximum temperature of 31.1°C, Baharagora 30.3°C, Pakur 29.3°C, while minimum temperatures dipped to 8.9°C in Khunti and Lohardaga.
In Ranchi city, Hinoo recorded a maximum of 26.6°C and a minimum of 11.0°C, while Kanke registered 25.4°C and 12.6°C.
No rainfall was recorded in the capital as well.
With dry north-westerly winds continuing and no major weather system in sight, similar weather conditions are likely to persist across Jharkhand in the coming days.
