UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jharkhand is likely to witness largely dry weather conditions over the coming days, with shallow fog or mist appearing at isolated places during the morning hours and clearer or partly cloudy skies as the day progresses, according to the latest weather outlook.
Today, shallow fog or mist was observed at a few isolated locations in the morning. This was followed by mainly clear skies later in the day, with dry weather prevailing across the state.
Similar weather conditions are expected to continue on January 31, February 1, and February 2. During this period, morning fog or mist may occur at isolated places, while the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy later in the day.
Dry weather is expected to dominate across most parts of the state.
A slight change in weather pattern is anticipated in the first week of February. On February 3, light rain is likely at isolated places over the north-western and adjoining central regions of Jharkhand, while the rest of the state is expected to remain dry. Morning fog or mist may reappear, followed by partly cloudy skies.
On February 4, light rain is likely at isolated locations over the western and southern parts of the state.
Other areas are expected to experience dry conditions, along with shallow fog or mist in the morning and partly cloudy skies later in the day.
From a meteorological perspective, the Western Disturbance, which earlier persisted as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu and its adjoining areas between 3.1 Km and 4.5 Km above mean sea level—along with an associated synoptic trough in the middle and upper troposphere—has now moved east-northeastwards.
Currently, north-westerly to westerly winds are prevailing over Jharkhand.
These wind patterns are supporting the continuation of mostly dry weather conditions, with the possibility of light rainfall restricted to isolated areas during early February.
