
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jharkhand continued to reel under intense winter conditions as Khunti recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at a chilling 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The report, based on 8:30 am observations, indicates that severe cold wave conditions prevailed across multiple districts. Daltonganj, Chaibasa, Bano (Simdega), Khunti and Bokaro were officially listed among areas affected by the cold wave.
Minimum temperatures across the state remained well below normal.
Ranchi recorded a low of 7.3°C, while Jamshedpur registered 8.4°C.
Daltonganj saw temperatures dip to 3.2°C, and Bokaro Thermal reported a minimum of 5.1°C, reflecting the widespread severity of the cold spell.
Weather conditions were further aggravated by dense fog, with visibility dropping to 700 metres at AMS Deoghar during the early morning hours.
Weathermen have urged residents to remain cautious, particularly during late night and early morning hours, as cold wave conditions are expected to persist.
