Based on observations recorded at 8:30 am, the report indicates that minimum temperatures in many areas remained well below normal. Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 23.2°C, slightly lower than the seasonal average, while the minimum dipped to 8.0°C.

Dense fog further compounded the situation by severely reducing visibility. Daltonganj reported the lowest visibility at just 300 metres, while Deoghar recorded 500 metres, affecting early morning travel and transportation.
The IMD confirmed that cold wave conditions were realised in districts including Hazaribagh, Khunti, Daltonganj, Lohardaga, Chaibasa-PTO and Bokaro Thermal.
Foggy conditions were also observed in Daltonganj and Deoghar during the morning hours. Automated Weather Station data showed Khunti AWS recording a minimum of 3.2°C, with several other districts such as Latehar, Lohardaga and Bokaro experiencing similarly cold nights.
No rainfall was reported anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours.
IMD officials have advised residents to remain cautious, particularly during early morning and late-night hours, as cold wave and foggy conditions are likely to persist in parts of Jharkhand over the coming days.
