Weather System Update:
As of 8:30 AM on May 28, a well-marked low-pressure area remains stationary over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, off the Odisha coast. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and tilts southward with height. This system is likely to move northward slowly and intensify into a depression over the North Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours.
Additionally, an upper air cyclonic circulation persists over northeast Madhya Pradesh at around 1.5 km above mean sea level, further contributing to atmospheric instability across the region.
Public Advisory:
Residents, particularly in the affected areas, are urged to stay informed through official weather updates and exercise caution during this period of volatile weather. Avoid open areas during thunderstorms, secure loose items, and follow local advisories for safety.
