UditVani, Jamshedpur: Sunil Kumar Tiwari, Plant Head, Tata Motors Ltd was today elected as the chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2025-26.
His name was announced at the CII Jharkhand State Annual Meeting held here today.
Sunil Kumar Tiwari is a highly accomplished industrial professional with 28 years of experience in leading organizations such as Tata Motors Ltd, Ashok Leyland, Tata Cummins, and UltraTech Cement (Aditya Birla Group).
A graduate of the National Institute of Technology, Patna, he holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering and is a certified coach and Six Sigma practitioner.
Throughout his illustrious career, Tiwari has held key leadership roles, including his current position as the Plant Head at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Business Unit in Pune.
He has made significant contributions to the industry, winning prestigious awards such as the Golden Peacock National Quality Award and the National Safety Award from the Vice President of India.
His leadership is marked by his success in driving manufacturing excellence, safety culture, and world-class operations. Sunil has also been recognized with multiple chairman’s awards, the Deming Award, and the Manufacturing Excellence Award from Frost & Sullivan.
Beyond his professional achievements, he is committed to giving back to society, having supported the eye operations of 250 underprivileged individuals.
Diloo Parikh, Director , Vaidehi Motors Pvt. Ltd has been elected as the Vice-chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2025-26.
Diloo Parikh hails from Jamshedpur. Born and brought up in Jamshedpur and associated with family business of automobile dealerships of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and Tata Motors commercial vehicles.
Parikh is associated with various associations including past Chairperson of F A D A (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) – Jharkhand and Excom Member of APAI (Air Passengers Association of India)
Session on Competitive Jharkhand
CII Jharkhand hosted the CII Jharkhand State Annual Meeting 2025 and Session on Competitive Jharkhand: Partnerships for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth.
The session served as a crucial platform for fostering strategic partnerships that drive innovation, economic resilience, and social equity.
As industries, policymakers, and stakeholders collaborate to shape Jharkhand’s future, the event brought together key industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to explore how strategic collaborations can enhance the state’s competitiveness.
By emphasizing sustainable growth, inclusive development, and policy-driven infrastructure advancements, the discussions aimed to position Jharkhand as a key player in India’s economic transformation.
J K Singh, IAS, Secretary, Department of Labour, Employment, Training & Skill Development, Government of Jharkhand emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a user-friendly ecosystem for MSMEs, enabling their growth and sustainability.
He pointed out that ‘Access to Market’, a key focus of the Industry Carnival, remains a major challenge for MSMEs, directly impacting their long-term viability.
He elaborated on the Public Procurement Policy, mandated since 2015, and how the Industry Carnival serves as a key platform to explore procurement opportunities and integrate MSMEs into supply chains.
Ananya Mittal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, outlined key strategies for the district’s development. He emphasized inclusive growth, ensuring no community is left behind, and addressed infrastructure challenges to support industrial and social needs.
Ranjot Singh, Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Managing Director, Emdet Jamshedpur Pvt Ltd emphasized the need for Jharkhand to enhance its industrial relevance in alignment with Viksit Bharat.
He urged the government to ensure that minerals extracted from the state should be processed locally.
Suvendra Behera, Chairman, CII Eastern Region & Vice Chairman & Managing Director, RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd in his deliberation referred Jharkhand as a Green State and emphasized its strong potential in the IT and automobile sectors. He advocated for integrating sustainability into school and college curricula and urged the government to introduce schemes for process upgrades in manufacturing.
Chanakya Chaudhary, Past Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Vice President – Corporate Services, Tata Steel Ltd emphasizing that sustainability begins at home. Citing Tata Steel’s commitment to sustainable practices, he highlighted the steel industry’s goal of reducing its carbon footprint by 2030, stressing the need for inclusivity across all sectors.
Ritu Raj Sinha Vice Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Managing Director, Tata Steel Utilities & Infrastructure Services Ltd stated key insights on policy matters. He highlighted on CII’s collaboration with the government to elevate Jharkhand’s industrial standing.
The CII Jharkhand State Annual Meeting 2025 & Session on Competitive Jharkhand: Partnerships for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth successfully brought together 210 delegates, including industry leaders, policymakers, and experts, fostering insightful discussions on strategic collaborations for Jharkhand’s growth.

With a shared vision for economic transformation, the deliberations set the stage for actionable strategies, ensuring Jharkhand’s continued progress on the national and global front.
