UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Super League (JSL) – Blue Cubs 2024-25 has continued to make its mark as India’s longest-running Blue Cubs league, witnessing remarkable participation and growing competitiveness.
With a well-structured format and enthusiastic engagement from young footballers, the tournament has provided a valuable platform for budding talents across the city.
The league has been a resounding success so far, with each matchweek delivering thrilling performances and intense competition.
Matchweek 14 saw dominant performances across both the Under-11 and Under-13 categories. In the Under-11 division, several teams secured commanding victories, with Legend of Loyola, JPS Hunters, and JPS Avengers all winning by 3-0 scorelines. Dhatkidih Fire Giants and Laxminagar Clever FC also showcased their superiority, registering comfortable wins. Kishor Sangh Kadma edged past Dhatkidih Sniper FC in a tightly contested 1-0 encounter, demonstrating strong defensive resilience. Meanwhile, multiple walkovers influenced the standings, as Kingson Loyola and Sonari Union Jack Jokers failed to take the field.
The Under-13 category featured a mix of dominant and hard-fought results. LPS Loyola, Kishor Sangh Kadma, and Dhatkidih.
Undefeatable FC registered emphatic 3-0 victories, solidifying their positions as top contenders. In one of the closest matches, Tinplate Legal Eliminators narrowly defeated Junior Tigers Tinplate 1-0, showing strong defensive discipline.
Meanwhile, 7 Star Tinplate overcame Carmel Red Devils 2-1 in a competitive contest, displaying attacking flair.
The round also saw walkovers affecting key fixtures, as Dhatkidih JFC Iron, Loyola Heroes, and Bhalubasa 7 Star Club were unable to field teams, giving their opponents easy points.
With the league progressing towards its latter stages, teams are stepping up their performances, making the battle for top spots even more intense. JSL has not only nurtured young talent but has also strengthened grassroots football in Jamshedpur, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a growing hub for the sport.
