UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Basketball Association (JBA) is organising its first-ever Under-23 Basketball Camp for nationals for both men and women at Kerala Public School, Kadma.
The 10-day camp was inaugurated by Sharat Chandran, Director of Kerala Public Schools, who expressed his support for the growth of basketball in the region.
The camp, held from March 5 to March 15, is led by JP Singh, Indian Team Coach and Secretary of the Jharkhand Basketball Association.
Singh, alongwith his team, provided expert training and guidance to the selected players.
A total of 40 players, including 20 men and 20 women, were chosen for the camp. These athletes were selected from the recently concluded first Under-23 Jharkhand State Basketball Championship held in Bokaro from February 19 to 22.
The camp sessions were held twice a day, in the mornings from 7 am to 10 am and in the evenings from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
The basketball camp aims to prepare men and women athletes from Jharkhand, enhancing their skills and teamwork, as they gear up to represent the state in the upcoming national championship.
