Despite a competitive first half where Jamshedpur created several chances through Bivan, Lawmsangzuala, and Amzard, they failed to find the breakthrough. Classic FA capitalized on their opportunities in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals to secure the win.
Jamshedpur FC started the game positively, pressing high and testing the Classic FA defense. Bivan had a couple of early chances, while Zuala’s dribbling and Amzard’s pace troubled the opposition backline. However, Classic FA’s defense remained resolute, keeping Jamshedpur at bay. The deadlock remained intact at halftime, but after the break, Classic FA took control, finding the net three times as Jamshedpur struggled to respond.
With this result, Aizawl FC move up to third place with 12 points from nine matches, while Jamshedpur FC drop to fourth with two games remaining. Jamshedpur now faces a must-win clash against Aizawl FC on February 24. A victory in that fixture is crucial to keeping hopes alive for qualification to the National Stage of the tournament for both the teams.
