Uditvani: In an effort to manage the extra rush of passengers during the summer season, Indian Railways has announced the operation of special trains connecting southern cities to key northern destinations.
These summer special trains will run on a weekly basis.
06055/06056 Podanur-Barauni-Podanur Special
Train No. 06055 Podanur-Barauni Summer Special will depart from Podanur every Saturday at 11:50 am, starting from April 26 to May 24, and will reach Barauni at 2.30 pm on the third day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06056 Barauni-Podanur Special will leave Barauni every Tuesday at 11.45 pm from April 29 to May 27, arriving at Podanur at 3.45 am on the fourth day.
This train will have stoppages at Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Nuagaon, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri, and Bokaro Steel City within the South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
06085/06086 Ernakulam-Patna-Ernakulam Special
Train No. 06085 Ernakulam-Patna Summer Special will depart Ernakulam every Friday at 11 pm from April 25 to May 30 and reach Patna at 3.30 am on the fourth day.
Train No. 06086 Patna-Ernakulam Special will operate in the reverse direction every Monday from April 28 to June 2, departing at 11.45 pm and reaching Ernakulam at 10.30 am on the fourth day.
This train will stop at Baleshwar, Kharagpur, and Andul in the South Eastern Railway zone.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and book tickets in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
