UditVani Jamshedpur : In a bid to spread road safety awareness the Jamshedpur chapter of CII- Young Indians organised a bike rally in steel city on Sunday.
The bike rally which got a big response was flagged- off by Neeraj sinha, chief safety, Tata Steel.
The participants included members of Jodi Riders Club, Road Melters, Royal kings motorcycle club, members of Civil Defence, SE Railway and students of XITE Gahmaria.
Yi Jamshedpur Chair Koushik Modi, Co chair Shruti Jhunjhunwala, Road Safety Chair Sakshi Agarwal, Co Chair Bavneet and Siddharth Agrawal were present along with other members.
After its flagging – off opposite the Sacred Heart Convent School at around 8.00 am, the 9- Km long bike rally went around the Circuit House Area roundabout turned left towards Bistupur roundabout and later moved in to the Voltas Building Circle.
Later the rally spreading the road safety message headed towards the Sardar Patel Chowk and reached the Regal Circle ( Gopal Maidan roundabout).
The bikers then traversed through the
Circuit House Area round about , the Jubilee Park roundabout before reaching the finishing point near the Sacred Heart Convent School.
” The bike rally was a great success. Enthusiastic bikers enjoyed the rally. The event was being organised to promote road safety awareness and make our roads safer for everyone, ” said a YI official present at the spot.
The participants had come prepared with all necessary safety gears – helmets, knee pads, etc. with their own bikes.
The registration to the bike rally was free.
