In a high-level meeting with Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Forest and Environment Secretary Abu Bakar Siddiqui, and Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar, he underscored the need for innovative strategies to boost eco-tourism while preserving the state’s natural beauty.
“There is immense potential for eco-tourism in Jharkhand,” the Chief Minister remarked, emphasizing its dual benefits: providing employment for local communities and conserving the environment.

Soren urged the Forest and Environment Department and the Tourism Department to work cohesively, identifying areas across the state where eco-tourism can thrive. Highlighting the importance of inter-departmental coordination, he stressed creating impactful initiatives that integrate community welfare with nature preservation.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to study successful eco-tourism models from other states and countries to design a roadmap tailored to Jharkhand’s unique landscape. “Promoting eco-tourism will not only create jobs but also position Jharkhand as a distinct destination, celebrated for its natural beauty,” he said.

Encouraging commitment and innovation, Soren urged the departments to aim for a transformative goal: placing Jharkhand on the global tourism map. By blending local traditions with sustainable practices, the state could emerge as a beacon of eco-tourism excellence.
