Udit Vani, Jamshedpur: The Annual Prize Night of D.B.M.S English School for the academic year 2022- 2023 was held on the 17th of April, 2023.
Anu Tewary, Principal of Baug-e-Jamsheed school graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. On arrival, Tewary was welcomed by Zikra Khan of Std. VII, who was the host for the evening.
The show commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest. This was followed by the academic procession of the rankers. Rankers from KG I to Std. V were led by Middle school co-ordinator Bhuvna Sridhar. Awardees from Std. VI and VII, Awardees from Std. VI and VII, along with the special awardees were led by the School Principal, Rajani Shekhar and Vice- Principal P.K.Sahu.
Principal Rajani Shekhar presented the Principal’s Report, showcasing the achievements of the students.
As the presentation of awards began rank-holders from KG-I to Std. IV E walked in with their heads held high to collect their awards.
Thereafter, Priya Nagarajan, Joint Secretary of the School managing committee, presented her report. The programme proceeded with awarding the prizes to the students of Std. V A to Std. VII E. The special awardees were handed their awards by the Chief Guest.
The award for the Best Student of Std. II was awarded to Veer Bhamra of Std. II D, while the overall Best Performer of Std. IV was given to Amantrita Paul of Std. IV D. Trophy for the ‘Best student of Std. V’ went to Trisha Ghosh of Std. V C. Trophy of the Best student of Std VI went to Souryadipta Sarkar of Std. VI E and Stuti Kabra of Std VII A was awarded the Best student of Std. VII.
Stuti, Antara and Ipshita awarded for proficiency in Sanskrit and Bengali:
The trophy for scoring the highest marks in Mathematics went to Snehil Raj of Std. VII E and the award for proficiency in Sanskrit went to Stuti Kabra of Std. VII A. The award for proficiency in Bengali was shared by Antara Paul of Std. VII E and Ipshita Mukherjee of Std. VII E.
The award for the most disciplined student in the Middle school was also shared by Vihan Kumar of Std. VI B and Rajeev Singh Gambhir of Std. VII D. The coveted award for perseverance was given to Aditri Ghosh of Std. VI D.
National player awards were given by Bhartumathi Neelakanthan, Patron, Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Chairpersonand B. Chandrashekhar, Chairperson.
The trophy for the best maintained Class was given to the students of Std. IV D.
The trophy for the Best Disciplined Class went to the students of Std. III C.
After the award distribution, Chief Guest graced the occasion further by a motivating and enlightening speech. Thereafter, she was presented with a memento by B. Chandrashekhar and Rajani Shekhar as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
Bringing the evening to a closure was the vote of thanks rendered by Arjun Bharadwaj of Std. VII which was followed by the School Anthem and the academic procession being led out.
