UditVani, Ranchi: Johar Khiladi Sports Integrated Portal has been launched for the overall development of sports and sportspersons of Jharkhand.
Information about players, coaches, referees, all sports academies, sports grounds, sports stadiums is available on a single portal. Information about state and district level competitions to be held in the state in future will also be made available on the portal in times to come.
With the aim to position Jharkhand as a nursery for sports and to imbibe a sports culture in the state, this portal is one of a kind initiative across the country that shall be monumental to hone the talents of sportspersons of the state.
The portal launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren is one of the first such portals to strengthen the idea of digitisation of sports.
32 sports have been added to the portal:
Detailed database of players and information about their participation in various competitions will be made accessible in just one click through this portal. A total of 32 sports have been added so that players of all 32 sports recognized by the Indian Olympic Association can be benefitted.
For each sport, information about registered academies, registered players, past and upcoming competitions will be available.
The District Sports Officer of will be appointed as the nodal officer for each district and will be able to monitor the sports activities going on in their district. At the same time, the Department of Sports will be able to monitor the ongoing sports activities at the state level.
At present the work of registration related to Football, Hockey, Archery, Athletics, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling is in progress. There are plans to include a total of 32 sports soon.
Solutions shall be offered to problems faced by the players:
Sportspersons of the state can put forward any issues faced by them before the District Sports Officers as well as the Department of Sports directly through the portal. The officers will provide solutions to the problems faced by the sportspersons.
Network is being envisioned to be built from Panchayat to the Capital:
The Poto Ho Sports Scheme ha s been launched with the aim of promoting sports and sportspersons. Under the ambit of this scheme playgrounds are being constructed at the village level.
The government is gearing up to build a network from the Panchayat to the Capital, so that sports programs can be organized and players can put their talents to best use. Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren had also launched Jharkhand Sports Policy 2022 in October 2022.
The policy aims at reducing bottlenecks from the path of sportspersons in excelling at national and international events.
