UditVani Jamshedpur : The Loyola Alumni Association organised its 1st Annual LAA Mini Football Tournament on at the Loyola School Grounds today.
This six a side tournament had four teams – Jaguars, Panthers, Leopards and Cheetahs.
Around 60 alumni members participated in the event. The alumni members played for their house which they represented while in school.
The first round comprised of league matches after which the semi-finals and finals were played.
The final was won by the Jaguars House under the captainship of Rohit John.
The Panthers House emerged runners- up under the captainship of Misbah Khan.The Leopards House were the 1st runnerd -up.
The Player of the Tournament was awarded to Vikhyat Sinha.
Trophees and medals were distributed to winners and runners-up by LAA President Fr Vinod Fernandes, LAA Senior Vice President Rajiv Talwar, LAA Vice President Savak Patel ,LAA Secretary Pratim Banerjee and LAA Treasurer Iqbal Alam.
The maiden minimum football tournament was enjoyed by the Loyola alumni members.
” We had lots of fun through the football match. We enjoyed a lot. The football tournament provided an opportunity to the alumni members to meet, interact and have fun. This was the first year. We will make it an annual affairs, ” said a senior alumnus.
