UDIT VANI Jamshedpur: The 39th edition of the JYOTI Inter-School Basketball Tournament kicked off on the 15th of November 2023, setting the stage for an exhilarating journey for basketball enthusiasts in the city.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of key figures from the sports fraternity, with JP Singh, Honorary Secretary of the Jharkhand Basketball Association, gracing the occasion as the chief guest. Mr. J. P. Singh interacted with the players, extending his support and motivation.
Organized by JYOTI (Jamshedpur Youth Organization for Tomorrow’s India), the tournament is designed to provide a significant platform for talented basketball players to showcase their skills and foster growth in the sport. The competition will feature a total of 39 teams competing across four different categories. Over 350 players from secondary and senior secondary segments of city schools will actively participate, making it a grand celebration of basketball prowess.
The mission of JYOTI is to offer budding players a platform for skill elevation and the experience of participating in a professional-level tournament. This unique exposure is envisioned to leave an indelible mark on the players, becoming an integral part of their sporting DNA.
