Uditvani Jamshedpur : In a sensational incident, brick kiln owner Ajit Singh was fired upon at Rahargora under Parsudih police station area late on Wednesday night.
Singh was shot on his hand, after which he ran towards a room at the brick-kiln in an injured condition.
Hearing the sound of firing, residents of the nearby colony gathered at the spot and Ajit Singh was rushed to the Tata Main Hospital.
On getting information about the firing incident Parsudih police reached the spot and recovered six shells from the spot.
Injured Singh accused Jojobedra residents Bharat Kamat, Bittu Kamat and others for their involvement in the firing incident .
Police have started search operation to nab the accused and raids were being conducted at their locations.
Sources revealed that there was a dispute between Ajit Singh and Bharat Kamat over transaction of money, which gradually escalated to threats and abuses.
After an altercation over the phone, Bharat Kamat along with his associates reached the brick kiln at Rahargoraladt night and opened fire on Ajit Singh.
Police investigation was on.
