Uditvani, Jamshedpur : The election of 85 committee members of Tata Motors Workers Union was announced today.
The election will take place on November 26 from 8 am to 5 pm. Counting of votes will start at 5 pm.
Chidanand Khandai, election officer of Tata Motors Workers Union, said that the entire election will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner under CCTV surveillance.
Carrying any kind of mobile phone and camera at the election venue is prohibited.
He informed that election rules will be released on November 19. The constituency will also be published and if anyone wants to make a claim or counter claim in the election rules and the publication of the constituency, then they can do so on November 19 only.
The final list of the constituencies will be published on November 20 after which the voter list will be published.
If anyone wants to make a claim or counter claim on the voter list, they can do so on November 20. After scrutiny of claims and counter claims, the final publication of the voter list will be done on November 21.
Distribution of nomination papers will also start from November 21. The date for submission of nomination papers has been fixed on November 22.
The list of nomination papers will also be published on November 22. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on November 23 and after scrutiny the list of valid candidates will be published. Candidates can withdraw their names on November 25 and after that the final list will be published.
Voting will take place on November 26. Counting of votes will take place after 5 pm on the same day and then the first meeting of the newly elected executive committee members will also be held.
The election will take place to elect office bearers including the president, general secretary , treasurer, executive president (two posts), joint general secretary ( two posts), vice-president (eight posts) and assistant secretary (10 posts).
