UditVani, Jamshedpur : DBMS Kadma High School celebrated its 20th Annual Sports Day at the JRD Sports Complex. Emerald House claimed the overall championship trophy and was also awarded the title of the most disciplined house. Ruby House secured the runners-up position, while Topaz House bagged the trophy for the best march past.
The event began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Saurabh Tiwary, a former Indian cricketer and left-handed middle-order batsman. He was part of the Indian squad that won the 2008 U-19 World Cup and the 2010 Asia Cup. Currently serving as the Secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, he declared the Sports Meet open and inspired students with a motivational speech on the importance of sports in personal development.

National-level players from the school proudly carried the torch, while Mohammad Shahan, the school President, administered the Sportsman’s Oath.
Students participated in a wide range of athletic events, from fun-filled junior activities to senior competitions including Shot Put, 100m, 200m and 400m races, relay races, and Tug-of-War. An obstacle race for teachers and sub-staff was also held.

Winners across categories received medals and certificates. Notable individual awards included:
– Best Athlete (Junior Boys): Aarush Das (Ruby House)
– Best Athlete (Junior Girls): Dhara Mahato (Emerald House)
– Best Athlete (Senior Boys): Hamza Mahtab (Emerald House) and Abhinav Ujjain (Ruby House)
– Best Athlete (Senior Girls): Sonam Kumari (Sapphire House)
The event concluded with applause for Sports Coordinator Mrs. Suprava Panda and her team for organizing a grand celebration of athletic talent and team spirit.
