UditVani, Ranchi/ Patratu: A Stator of 800MW TG#1 was lifted on Wednesday, 22nd February 2023 at Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd. The Stator is the stationary part of a rotary system found in electric generators through which the energy flows. It was successfully placed on foundation at 18 Metre of TG Hall.
The Stator weighing 450MT was lifted using both the Electric Overhead Traveling (EOT) cranes under tandem operation. With this PVUNL has achieved another significant milestone.
NTPC and Jharkhand govt had formed a JV to revive Patratu power plant in May 2015. The NTPC’s PVUNL is developing the Power project in two phases: 2,400 MW (3x800MW) in Phase-I and 1,600 MW (2×800 MW) in Phase-II. This project will allocate 85 per cent of the power to Jharkhand.
The activity was commenced with a Pooja Ceremony. Ravindra Kumar, CEO (PVUN), S.K. Panda, GM (Project), Sanjay Kumar, HOD (ME) were present during the ceremony. The event was witnessed by all HODs, PVUN employees, Project Director of BHEL, employees & their associates.
