UditVani, Jamshedpur: Chief minister Hemant Soren today launched several student-centric web portals and launched the Innovation Centre at the Ranchi Science Centre during a state level workshop on the Jharkhand Research and Innovation Policy – 2025.
The Chief Minister unveiled 6 portals developed by the Department of Higher and Technical Education.
On this occasion, Minister of Higher and Technical Education Department Sudivya Kumar, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary Higher and Technical Education Department Rahul Kumar Purwar and Managing Director-cum-CSC E-Governance Service India Limited Sanjay Kumar Rakesh were present.
Overview of the Six Portals
* Salary Verification Portal : A pay fixation portal has been developed to simplify the salary verification of teachers and non -teaching personnel of universities and colleges, reduce errors and improve efficiency.
* Learning Management Portal : This portal would manage teaching and training services in online mode and will help in management of ongoing educational programs, training or teaching and development programs in institutions.
* Private University Management Portal : This portal will simplify the establishment and management process of new private universities in the state.
* CM Fellowship Scheme Portal : This portal has been developed to implement high and technical education, to implement research at higher educational institutions level. This will make it easier for the students to apply and benefit for fellowships.
* Apprenticeship Management Portal : Apprentice trainees are to be trained in various universities / colleges and departments of the state by selecting apprentice trainees. Apprentice management portal has been developed to simplify and accessible the selection process of the said trainees.
* Grant Portal for Non- Aided Colleges : The current process of providing grants to unconnected colleges without finance in the state is not only taking time, but also has many levels of inspection and verification. With the development of this portal, the process of providing grants to colleges will be simple and time will also take less.
Innovation Hub and Science City Project
* Innovation Hub : Innovation Hub established in the Regional Science Center, Ranchi campus will provide proper environment to nurture creative and innovative views, innovative thinking and solution to practical problems, inspire innovation, etc.
* Science City, Ranchi : A Rs 270 crore project has been planned to upgrade the Regional Science Center at Ranchi into Science City spanning 25 acres in Ranchi. This initiative is expected to boost scientific tourism and provide educational entertainment.
It will be constructed on about 25 acres of land. Its construction will promote scientific tourism in Ranchi. Along with scientific performance for the philosophy of tourists, the means of entertainment will also be available.
Jharkhand Research and Innovation Policy 2025
The state government introduced the Jharkhand student Research and innovation policy 2025 to promote a research given culture among students.
With the budget of Rs 1, 280 crore the policy aligns with the National Education Policy 2020 and supports start-up seed funding, research projects and academic conferences.
