UditVani, Jamshedpur: Class VI students of Kerala Samajam Model School celebrated a Bagless Day by crafting planters using coconut shells. The activity was thoughtfully designed to foster gardening skills and raise awareness about soil conservation.
Creativity Meets Sustainability
Teachers began the session with an insightful talk on the importance of soil conservation and the reuse of natural resources. This interactive discussion encouraged students to share their ideas and perspectives, creating a collaborative and thought-provoking environment.
Using eco-friendly materials such as coconut shells, jute strings, and seeds, students crafted unique planters. The coconut shells were painted with eco-friendly colors, blending creativity with environmental consciousness. This hands-on activity not only enhanced students’ concentration and artistic abilities but also offered them a chance to unwind and explore their creative potential.
Support from School Leadership
The success of the event was made possible through the encouragement and support of the school leadership. Principal Nandini Shukla, along with Vice Principals Rina Banerjee, Sujata Singh, and A.L. Abraham, played a vital role in guiding and motivating the teachers to execute the activity seamlessly.
