UditVani, Jamshedpur: Trucks parked under the HSM Gate flyover of Tata Steel have been causing significant inconvenience to the residents of Burmamines East Plant Basti and nearby areas. The situation has prompted local leaders to demand immediate action from the Tata Steel management.
Traffic Chaos and Daily Inconvenience
Kulwant Singh Bunty, a member of the BJP Jharkhand State Working Committee, has raised his concern over the persistent issue of trucks blocking the main road of East Plant Basti, which connects the locality to the primary road. He highlighted that for the past several days, trucks heading to Tata Steel have been parked along the road, creating severe traffic congestion. This has led to major disruptions for residents, especially for children heading to school, passengers traveling to the station, and daily commuters.
The Unresolved Problem
Bunty revealed that despite his efforts to communicate the urgency of the matter to Tata Steel management, including multiple meetings with Chief Corporate Service Parinay Sinha and other officials, no effective measures have been taken so far. He further mentioned that he had conveyed the issue in detail over the phone earlier this week but has yet to see any resolution.
Deadline for Action: BJP to Protest
Bunty has issued a stern warning to Tata Steel, stating that if the issue is not addressed within a week, the residents of the colony will be forced to stage a protest. He emphasized that Tata Steel, as a respected industry, should not overlook public issues that impact daily life.
Local Administration’s Role Questioned
Additionally, Bunty questioned the inaction of the local administration, urging them to take the concerns of the colony residents seriously. He called for immediate steps to be taken to resolve the traffic issue and restore normalcy to the area.
