UditVani, Jamshedpur: Tata Archery Academy (TAA) is set for an exciting finale in the ongoing Senior National Archery Championship, with Ankita Bhakat facing former academy cadet Deepika Kumari for the prestigious Gold medal. The final match is scheduled for tomorrow, and both athletes have earned their place in the championship’s climactic round.
A Prestigious Championship
The Senior National (Men & Women) Archery Championship is organized by the Jharkhand Archery Association in partnership with the Archery Association of India, NTPC, and Tata Steel. This competition brings together the country’s finest archers to showcase their talent and skill.
In the women’s recurve category, the elimination rounds began with 64 talented archers, and Ankita Bhakat’s outstanding performance stood out as a highlight for Tata Archery Academy. She will now compete against Deepika Kumari, a former cadet of the academy, for the Gold medal.
Academy Athletes Shine
Tata Archery Academy athletes, including Bhajan Kaur and Komalika Bari, also impressed during the elimination rounds, showing the strength and depth of talent emerging from the academy.

The day’s events also included the prize distribution for the Indian Round and Compound Archery categories. Arjun Munda, President of the Archery Association of India, along with Padma Shri Purnima Mahato, Head Coach of Tata Archery Academy, Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief of Sports at Tata Steel, and Hemant Gupta, Head of Sports Academies and Adventure Programs at Tata Steel, were present at the ceremony to honor the winners.
