UditVani, Jamshedpur: Preparations for the forthcoming Republic Day celebration has begun following instructions of East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal.
On the first day today, rehearsal of the platoon which will participate in the parade was conducted at the Police Lines in Golmuri.
This year, there will be eight platoons in the parade of the district level function, which includes 1 platoon of JAP-6, 3 platoon of District Police Force (including auxiliary police), 1 platoon of District Home Guard and 2 platoon of NCC (female/male) and scouts.
The rehearsal of the parade will also be held on January 21 and 22 at Police Lines and the full dress rehearsal is scheduled to take place at the Gopal Maidan on January 24, which will be jointly inspected by Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police ( SSP) Kishore Kaushal.
The Republic Day celebration will take place at the Gopal Maidan in Bistupur on January 26, Sunday.
Jamshedpur West MLA Sarayu Roy would unfurl the national tricolour during the Republic Day celebration.
